For collectors of the older VFL cards, I found quite a few Griffiths Black Crow 1930's football cards (small, almost square b&w photos), and a good lot of Victorian Suburban Premium cards - also from the 1930's. They're for sale at the Camberwell Antique Centre 03 9882 2928

I've recently unearthed a few copies a good reference book on trade cards: The Australian & NZ Index Part 2. It lists many trade cards, including lots of footie and cricket cards. It has 260 pages, and I'm offering it for $20 inc. postage. It you'd like one, email me your credit carde details and address to mrpp@iprimus.com.au By the way, I have just one copy of Part 1, issued in 1983. It covers (for example) all Scanlens cards issued up till that time. It's been long out of print. This single copy is $60 inc. postage

Hi Rick
I have the entire set of Scanlen's and Stimorol Carlton Football Cards from 1964 - 1991. I purchased many of these from you many years ago. They range in condition from Mint to very good. I also have Carlton Cards from and including the 2009 season. Further to this I have a 1970 Weg Poster in Very Good condition. Would you have any idea what the prices of these would be? I also have a program from the 1954 state carnival signed by many of the players including Ronald Dale, E.J., John Coleman and more. When would be the best time to bring these in to Camberwell for a more accurate valuation?

Bam, I'll be at the Camberwell Antique Centre on May 21 and 28 from 1.30-3.30pm. Best to bring them there. A really clean 1970 WEG sells for $1,000 plus these days

Should also mention, we have a giant Street Sale on tomorrow Sat May 8 from 9am. It's in Cooraminta Street, Brunswick, with much footie, cricket, boxing, Olympics, racing and more.

I have a signed and framed Tony Lockett jersey celebrating his 1300th goal. It is numbered 187 of 1300.
Can you tell me what it would be worth today.
Also if I wanted to sell it - is Ebay my only option?

I've asked you the question because I wanted to know what your opinion of the value was and whether there was somewhere else beside Ebay I should be selling it/advertising it.
At the time of my question no-one had made a bid on the item on Ebay and I thought I may have overpriced it. If it was not a suitable place to sell it I would have removed it seeing as there were no bids.
I didn't realise I wasn't allowed to have it for sale at the time of asking you the question on this forum.

Fro all fanatic footie followers, we have some very obscure items in our forthcoming Aug 22 2010 auction. Included are four caricatures of Ess/Haw/Melb/Coll players 1957 issued by a company which went broke soon after issue. So they've never been seen before. Heaps more rare footie too inc. 3x1963 Scanlens. List and pix will be up on website by Friday July 23

Has anyone out there have any images of hawthorn running out at the start of the 1978 vfl grand final showing Don Scott and hawthorn wearing the yellow wynvale warm up jackets? I have Don Scotts jacket he wore in that game. any image would be appreciated my email is zariahope@hotmail.com

Hi Rick,
I am trying to find out the value of an ORIGINAL photo I have of the Australian Rugby League Team for the 2nd test vs. Great Britain in Brisbane, July 1966. It is is good condition and taken by Sidney Riley at 246 Queen St Brisbane. It has the like of Langlands, Vievers, Gleeson and a very young Arthur Beetson. I had it framed about 10 years ago to preserve it a bit better. Any ideas would be great.

Nyle, you have a good one, with some great names. If the player's names are printed on to the bottom of the photograph, you're looking at $750 plus (not including cost of framing) If the players are not named, halve that price.

hi, ive got a signed west coast eagles 'brownlow' 2004 jumper of chris judds plus ben cousins signature on it also with him winning the 2005 brownlow. The jumper is framed, just wandering what value it has.... never wanting to sell it as its my prize possession as they are my favourite players but just wandered if it is valuable (money wise) haha
