I have a 1919 Carlton Football Club original team picture on photographers cardboard backing. Very good condition.
Please requesting a valuation on this.
I did heppen to see today a collection of virtually every football card for the Carlton Football club from inception to the 1980s. Everything was was in excellent condition.
I know it is difficult, but what would the 'collection' valuations be for a full set of Carlton cards, say overall Excellent, very good and average?

Jamie, are the players named on the bottom of the photo mount? If so, $1,500 plus. If not, less than half that. What a brain twister re the Carlton card collection!! You'd start at $25,000, and possibly go higher, The key cards would include those from Jonco, Easi-Oats, Fyna Foods, Yoo- Hoo, MacRobertsons and a number of cigarette cards. And condition of the cards will also have a major impact on price. For example, a card in 6/10 condition would sell at (say) $5, whilst a card in 9/10 could sell for $25. Of course, there's a fair amount of guesswork in my answer!

Should have mentioned, anything from a premiership year has greatly added value. Had this photo been of the Tigers, who won their first flag in 1919, you could double (or treble) these prices.

Thanks for the reply Rick.
The collection question was unfair, too many variables. It was from curiosity only as I know it will never be sold.
Thank you for the quote on the 1919 pic. No it does not have any player names, but very pleased to hear the quote.

No it was a good question - if almost impossible to answer! On second thoughts, I'd guess at $35,000 being a closer estimate - especially seeing the amazing increase in values of Scanlens 1963-1974.
